Pyrolytic Graphite Tubes Description
Pyrolytic graphite is the ideal material to make components in graphite AAS, as the coated surface is extremely pure with zero porosity. As most of the pyrolytic graphite tubes(PG) and pyrolytic boron nitride (PBN) products are custom made, please allow 3~4 weeks of leading time. Silicon carbide CVD coating is also available for graphite products. The default membrane thickness of our pyrolytic graphite products is 30~50um.
Pyrolytic graphite (PG) tube is a synthesized material created by the chemical vapor deposition process(CVD). The carbon source for this process is natural gas, such as methane. Since the purity of gas is easier to be controlled than solid graphite, the purity of pyrolytic graphite material could be extremely high. Total impurity content is usually less than 10ppm. Pyrolytic graphite could be used as a coating material for substrates such as normal graphite. Since the PG coating is made by a CVD process with high purity gas, the surface of the pyrolytic graphite-coated products has extremely high carbon purity and strength with almost zero porosity.
Pyrolytic Graphite Tubes Specification
If pyrolytic graphite material directly deposited on a mode, instead of a graphite substrate, pyrolytic graphite products without substrate could be obtained if the CVD process is long enough. The wall thickness of whole pyrolytic graphite products is usually 1mm. Since pure pyrolytic graphite products need more material and a longer time to produce, the cost is higher than normal PG-coated graphite products.

Pyrolytic Graphite Tubes Application
Pyrolytic Graphite Tubes are high-performance components renowned for their exceptional thermal conductivity, chemical resistance, and stability at high temperatures. They are widely used in the semiconductor industry for crystal growth of materials like silicon and sapphire, benefiting from their ability to withstand extreme conditions. In material science, they facilitate high-temperature reactions and advanced material synthesis. Their excellent thermal conductivity and resistance to thermal shock make them ideal for metallurgy applications, including metal processing. In the chemical industry, they handle corrosive chemicals and reactive gases due to their inert nature. Additionally, they are employed in glass manufacturing for melting high-temperature glasses and in the nuclear industry for components requiring stability under radiation. Pyrolytic Graphite Tubes are also valuable in research and development settings for high-temperature experiments, enhancing accuracy and efficiency. Their combination of properties makes them essential for these demanding and high-precision applications.
