Type K Thermocouple Wire Description
NiCr-NiSi (Type K) thermocouple finds the widest use in all base metal thermocouples, at a temperature above 500 ° C. It’s inexpensive, accurate, reliable, and has a wide temperature range. Type K is commonly found in nuclear applications because of its relative radiation hardness. Its maximum continuous working temperature is around 1,100 °C.
