Tungsten Rhenium Alloy Thermocouple Description
Rhenium and tungsten both belong to refractory metals and have good ductility and strength. Tungsten- Rhenium Alloy has a melting point of 3050 °C and a recrystallization temperature of 1900 °C which makes it been used in aerospace and temperature measuring applications. The addition of rhenium can increase the ductility after wire recrystallizes, also the specific resistance, as well as vibration strength, have been further improved. It has been widely used in the thermocouple market, joining, medical, aerospace, furnace, and heat treat industries.
