Quartz Rod Descriptions
Quartz is a hard, crystalline mineral composed of silica (silicon dioxide). Quartz is an amorphous material with a single component of silicon dioxide, and its microstructure is a simple network composed of four structure units of silicon dioxide. Due to the large Si-O chemical bond energy and tight structure, quartz glass has unique properties, especially excellent optical properties of transparent quartz glass.
