Carbon Molecular Sieve Description
Carbon Molecular Sieve is a new type of non-polar adsorbent, which has the performance of adsorbing oxygen molecules in the air under normal temperature and pressure swing conditions, so nitrogen-rich gas can be obtained. The product is a porous material composed of carbon, and the pore structure model is a disordered stacked carbon structure.
Its ability to separate air depends on the different diffusion rates of various gases in the air in the carbon molecular sieve micropores, the different adsorption forces, or the simultaneous action of the two effects. Under equilibrium conditions, the adsorption amounts of carbon molecular sieves for nitrogen and oxygen are quite similar, but the diffusion rate of oxygen molecules through the narrow pores of carbon molecular sieves is much faster than that of nitrogen molecules. The carbon molecular sieve air separation nitrogen production is based on this performance, and the nitrogen molecules are enriched in the gas phase at a time away from the equilibrium condition.
