Zirconia Fiber (ZrO2 Ceramic Fiber) Description
Zirconia Fiber (ZrO2 Ceramic Fiber) has high-temperature strength, high resistance against chemical agents, and low thermal conductivity. Its manufacturing process is complex. It uses the high-tech "colloid method" to make the thickened zirconia colloid, which is spun into the fibrous embryo body, and then transformed into zirconia polycrystalline fiber after dehydration, drying and medium and high-temperature heat treatment and other processes. Its chemical composition is ZrO2+Y2O3≥99.5%, classification temperature up to 2200℃, melting point up to 2715℃, the fiber diameter of 3-6um, monofilament length of 10-150mm, the appearance is white, smooth, soft, elastic.

- The highest use temperature of zirconia fiber is up to 2200°C. Even at 2500°C, it can still maintain the integrity of the fiber shape.
- Good corrosion resistance. The acid and alkali corrosion resistance of ZrO2 is obviously better than that of SiO2 and Al2O3.
- It is not volatile and pollution-free at high temperatures. Among all metal oxides, ZrO2 has the lowest vapor pressure at high temperatures and is chemically inert. It is not volatile and pollution-free at high temperatures.
