Description:

Gadolinium is a rare earth element with a high magnetic moment. Due to its magnetic moment, Gadolinium is able to enhance signal intensity by reducing relaxation times. It is also used for semiconductor fabrication and nuclear reactor shielding. When combined with EDTA ligands, Gadolinium can be used as an injectable contrast agent for MRIs. Gadolinium acetate is a rare earth compound of Gadolinium. It is water soluble and decomposes to Gadolinium oxide upon heating.

High-purity evaporation materials play a huge role in deposition processes to ensure high-quality deposited film. Stanford Advanced Materials (SAM) specializes in producing up to 99.9% purity gadolinium evaporation materials using quality assurance processes to guarantee product reliability.

FAQs

Q1: What are Gadolinium Evaporation Materials?

A1: Gadolinium (Gd) evaporation materials are high-purity gadolinium in forms such as pellets, granules, or pieces, used in physical vapor deposition (PVD) processes to create thin films. These films are widely applied in electronics, magnetic materials, and specialized coatings.

Q2: What are the main applications of Gadolinium Evaporation Materials?

A2: Gadolinium evaporation materials are commonly used in:

Magnetic thin films (used in magneto-optical storage devices and MRI applications)

Semiconductor applications (dopant for electronic devices and components)

Thermoelectric materials (used in cooling systems)

Phosphor coatings (used in lighting and display technologies)

Research and development (studies in advanced magnetic and electronic materials)

Q3: Which deposition techniques are compatible with Gadolinium Evaporation Materials?

A3: Gadolinium can be deposited using:

Electron beam (E-beam) evaporation – Ideal for high-precision and controlled deposition.

Thermal evaporation – Suitable for applications requiring lower temperatures for efficient film formation.
