Description of Cis-Diammineplatinum (II) Dichloride
Cis-Diammineplatinum(II) Dichloride (CDDP) is a platinum-based chemotherapy drug firstly described in 1845. Until now it is still a first-line drug to treat cancers including carcinomas, sarcomas, lymphomas and germ cells tumors. In the laboratory, it can be used in cell viability measurement in cochlear explants, the inhibition of cell proliferation and chemosensitivity in ovarian cancer cell lines. The product is for scientific research use only and is strictly prohibited for direct use on humans or animals.
