Plastic Teller Rosette Description
The plastic Teller Rosette was developed by American A.J.TELLER in 1954, so the garland is often called TELLER ROSETTE. The Plastic Teller Rosette is a large flat ring composed of 12 small rings arranged radially, similar to a sphere formed by a spiral spring connected end to end. Because the gap of the packing can have a higher liquid holding capacity, the residence time of the liquid in the tower is longer, thereby increasing the contact time of the gas-liquid two-phase and improving the mass transfer efficiency of the packing.
Plastic packing has the characteristics of large porosity, low-pressure drops and mass transfer unit height, high flooding point, sufficient vapor-liquid contact, low specific gravity, and high mass transfer efficiency. It is mostly used for gas washing, especially in Chlor-alkali process, chlorine absorption and drying. The waste liquid is recycled in the purification tower.
