Porcelain Raschig Rings are common regular packing that is still used for refilling existing columns and other applications. Its surface ratio is higher than ceramic cylinders and balls by 30% and its ring shape has high mechanical stability. It has excellent acid resistance and heat resistance. The mass transfer of ceramic Raschig Ring is low, but it is much cheaper than the other random packing, so it is still widely accepted in some industries.
