Monel K-500 is an external nickel-copper alloy that combines the excellent corrosion resistance of Alloy 400 with greater strength and hardness. Due to the low magnetic permeability, high strength, and corrosion resistance, Monel K-500 is mainly used in oil well detection equipment and electronic components. An important feature is that K-500 remains non-magnetic even at very low temperatures.
