Molecular Sieve (NKF-6) Description
NKF-6(β) molecular sieve is a microporous high silica zeolite with a three-dimensional twelve-membered ring pore structure. It has a double six-membered ring unit cell structure with two four-membered rings and four five-membered rings. The pore size is relatively large, between that of the NFK-5 molecular sieve and the Y molecular sieve, and the main pore diameter is 0.56-0.75nm. It features good thermal stability. β molecular sieve has only pores and no cages, so all cations can be exchanged. The adsorption capacity of β molecular sieve for cyclohexane, n-hexane, and water are all over 14%, which is a special property of β zeolite. The acidity and proper pore volume of β molecular sieve can produce isomerization, and promote carbocation C-C chain transfer to produce branching or ring formation.

Molecular Sieve (NKF-6) Applications
- Β molecular sieve is a new type of hydrocracking catalyst for producing low-pour-point diesel and high-medium oil.
- The addition of modified β molecular sieve to the FCC catalyst can reduce the content of olefins in catalytic cracking, and at the same time can appropriately increase the octane number, and reduce the pour point of the middle distillate oil.
- For toluene, trimethylbenzene and C9 and other disproportionation reactions and transalkylation reactions, β molecular sieve has stability and high selectivity
- Β molecular sieve is used for propylene alkylation and ethylene alkylation to produce cumene and ethylbenzene, which has been applied in industry
- It has good activity and selectivity in reactions such as dehydrogenation and dehydration
- It has unique selectivity and good catalytic activity in the para-alkylation reaction of phenol
