Stanford Advanced Materials (SAM) is a trusted supplier of lead sulfide powder (PbS powder) and a wide range of lead products from pure metal to compounds.
Related Products: GeS powder, In2S3 powder, Cr2S3 powder
Lead sulfide is a dark blue-gray nearly black cubic crystal. It can be prepared by hydrogen sulfide being passed into an acidic solution of lead nitrate or by heating lead carbonate with sulfur. Lead sulfide is insoluble in acids, insoluble in water, and insoluble in bases. High purity lead sulfide can be used as a semiconductor. Stanford Advanced Materials (SAM) has over two decades of experience in the sale and manufacture of lead sulfide powder.

Lead Sulfide is a crystalline solid used as a semiconductor and in photo optic applications. Friction materials to reduce and regulate friction coefficient, chemical reagent, to absorb infra-red radiation, glazing of clay wire, and semiconductor manufacturing when purified.
Our lead sulfide powder is carefully handled to minimize damage during storage and transportation and to preserve the quality of our product in its original condition.
