Iron Doped Strontium Titanate Crystal Substrate (Fe:STO) Description
Iron Doped Strontium Titanate Crystal Substrate (Fe:STO) is the material by adding small amounts of Nd into SrTiO3 lattice. SrTiO3 is a perovskite structure material that has a high dielectric constant and low electric field. It’s used in high-voltage capacitors. Because of its dielectric constant, Fe-doped SrTiO3 crystal substrate can be used in high-mobility electronic devices such as field-effect transistors (FETs) and high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs). Fe:STO crystal substrate can also be used as a source of localized spins because of Fe ions and make spintronics applications such as spin transistors or spin-wave devices. Fe ions’ magnetic properties give Fe:STO crystal substrate applications in magnetoelectronics such as magnetic random access memory (MRAM), magnetic field sensors, etc.
