The catalyst for the preparation of p-diethylbenzene is prepared by "direct method" synthesis of MFI-type zeolite as a matrix and modified by aluminum magnesium salt. 1,4-Diethylbenzene is an indispensable analytical agent in the process of para-xylene adsorption and separation. The industrial requirement as a para-xylene adsorbent is that its purity is greater than 95%. However, due to the similar boiling points of p-diethylbenzene, o-diethylbenzene, and m-diethylbenzene, the rectification method is used to purify p-diethylbenzene products from the mixed diethylbenzene (30% p-diethylbenzene content), and the separation energy consumption is high. The purity is also difficult to meet the requirements.
