Boron Silicide (SiB6) Powder Description
Boron Silicide (SiB6) Powder (CAS: 12008-29-6) is a black-gray powder with a relative density of 3.0 and a melting point of 2200℃. Boron Silicide (SiB6) is insoluble in water, resistant to oxidation, thermal shock, and chemical attack. It has high strength and stability especially under thermal shock, and its grinding efficiency is higher than that of boron carbide.
Boron Silicide (SiB6) Powder can be used as various standard abrasives and grinding cemented carbides. Besides, it is also used as engineering ceramic materials, sandblasting nozzles, blades of gas engines, and other special-shaped sintered parts and seals. In addition, it is also used as an antioxidant for refractory materials.
