Silver Phosphate Powder Description
Silver phosphate (Ag3PO4) is a yellow compound that is insensitive to light and insoluble in water. It is slightly soluble in dilute acetic acid and freely soluble in dilute HNO3, ammonia, ammonium carbonate, alkali cyanides and thiosulfates. Silver phosphate can be used to prepare silver bromide and silver iodide emulsions commonly used in the photography industry, as well as catalysts and drugs. Alkyl halides react with silver phosphate to form neutral phosphate.
