Nickel Crucible (Ni Crucible) Description

Made from 99.5% pure nickel, the crucible has a high resistance to strong alkalis and phosphoric acid. Our nickel crucibles have thicker bases and lighter walls that help them endure harsh use. Nickel crucible is less than satisfactory when used for acid and sulphur compound solvent.

Below is our regular product list. We can also customize various shapes according to your requirements or drawings. Contact our experts for further information.

Nickel Crucible (Ni Crucible) Features

High-form laboratory-grade nickel crucible drawn from one piece of pure heavy sheet nickel

It is polished to a mirror finish both inside and out

Nickel crucibles are highly resistant to alkali's and can be used at temperatures up to 800 °C / 1472 °F

Nickel Crucible (Ni Crucible) Applications

Laboratory Use:

Ideal for high-temperature experiments, material melting, and analysis due to its excellent thermal stability and oxidation resistance.

Chemical Processing:

Used for melting, mixing, or reacting with corrosive chemicals and salts, as nickel resists attack from many acids and alkalis.

Metallurgy:

Employed in the melting and refining of metals and alloys, particularly in environments where contamination must be minimized.

Glass Manufacturing:

Used in the production of specialty glasses and optical materials due to its ability to withstand high temperatures without reacting with the melt.

Semiconductor Industry:

Applied in the production and purification of semiconductor materials, where high purity and resistance to contamination are critical.

Nickel Crucible (Ni Crucible) Packing

Our Nickel crucibles are tagged and labeled externally to ensure efficient identification and quality control. Great care is taken to avoid any damage which might be caused during storage or transportation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can nickel crucibles withstand acidic or alkaline environments?

Yes, nickel crucibles are highly resistant to many acids and alkalis, making them ideal for chemical processing and reactions involving corrosive substances.

What temperature range can nickel crucibles handle?

Nickel crucibles can withstand temperatures up to approximately 1455°C (2651°F), making them suitable for high-temperature applications.

Are nickel crucibles suitable for melting precious metals?

Yes, nickel crucibles are often used for melting precious metals like gold, silver, and platinum due to their non-reactive nature and high-temperature resistance.
