Magnesium Lanthanum Master Alloy Description
Magnesium Lanthanum Master Alloy is a specialized alloy with a high concentration of lanthanum (La) in magnesium (Mg). It is meticulously crafted to enhance the performance of magnesium-based alloys. The addition of lanthanum imparts improved mechanical properties, such as increased strength, ductility, and corrosion resistance. This master alloy is widely used in the manufacturing of lightweight and high-strength components for aerospace, automotive, and electronics industries.

Magnesium Lanthanum Master Alloy Application
Rare earth (RE) elements have also been successfully alloyed with Mg. The addition of rare-earth (RE) elements can refine grains and weaken anisotropy to improve the ductility of the Mg alloys. In addition, RE elements give rise to a dispersion of thermally stable precipitates with a high melting point (above 620 °C), an improvement over precipitates of the Mg-Zn system which melt at approximately 340°C and thus have poor thermal stability and exhibit a tendency for hot tearing.
