1200C Bottom-loading Vacuum Furnace with Rapid Cooling VBF-1200X-E8 is a vacuum-sealed furnace featuring a motor-driven bottom-loading sample stage and an electrically operated door, providing effective thermal insulation for the heated chamber. Equipped with a quartz chamber measuring 8.5" in internal diameter and 13.4" in height, along with a water-cooled flange, this furnace enables precise heat treatment under vacuum or controlled atmospheres. To speed up the cooling process of the heated sample, a gas blow system utilizing inert gas is incorporated at the bottom.

  • Double-layer steel casing with air cooling keeps furnace surface < 60℃
  • Water-cooled vacuum flange for better vacuum seal and longer service life
  • 8.5" ID Quartz chamber works under both vacuum and gas flow.
  • Motor-driven bottom loading for large sample loading at ease.
  • The electric sliding door is built to block thermal radiation when the heated sample is loading down

  • The quartz heating chamber is replaceable.
  • One 16L/min recirculating water chiller is included for cooling the flange

Vacuum and Gas Flow

  • One KF25 port is built-in for the vacuum pump connection.
  • One dual-stage rotary vane pump with KF25 below and one angle valve are included.
  • One Pirani vacuum gauge (up to 10-4 torr) and a mechanical vacuum gauge is included.
  • Pfeiffer 33 L/s turbopump is available for high vacuum operation up to 10-5 torr.
  • One 5L flowmeter with1/4" gas inlet and outlet is included for atmosphere control.

Cooling Chamber

  • The gas cooling system is built-in for faster cooling of a heated sample
  • 4 gas blow tubes are installed in for corner of the cooling chamber. 
  • The gas valve shall be opened before loading the heated sample down
  • Once the sample stage is down, the sliding door must be closed immediately to insulate the radiation from the heating chamber.
  • The cooling rate and temperature can be monitored via thermal couple in the sample stage.

Application Notes

  • Quartz tube furnace is designed for using under vacuum and low pressure < 0.2 bars / 3 psi / 0.02 MPa
  • Attention: A two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on the gas cylinder to limit the pressure to below 3 PSI for safe operation.
  • Vacuum pressures in the furnace shall be used below 1000℃ under vacuum processing
  • The furnace can be used for brazing of two flat samples via top dead weight under vacuum at <1000℃
