Arc Assisted Vacuum Melting Furnace is a highly efficient compact vacuum arc melting furnace, specifically engineered for the melting of small quantities of high-temperature refractory metals, capable of reaching temperatures up to 2000°C. This furnace incorporates a dual tungsten electrode system capable of handling a maximum current input of 200A. One electrode is ingeniously connected to a stainless steel crucible, while the other engages with a graphite crucible. The innovative design ensures that the graphite crucible is directly heated by a low-voltage DC power supply, whereas the quartz tube benefits from the consistent heat distribution provided by a resistance furnace, guaranteeing uniform temperature within the crucible. Additionally, the furnace is designed with a flange that houses a feeding system, enabling the addition of materials during the vacuum melting process. This feature-rich furnace is particularly suitable for the synthesis of small samples of rare metal alloys, such as neodymium, offering precision and control for advanced material research and development.
