Description of Aluminum Lithium Alloys

Aluminum lithium alloys are lighter and have high tensile and yield strength compared to the conventional high-strength aluminum alloys. Lithium is the lightest metal element in the world. The addition of lithium to aluminum reduces the specific gravity of the alloy and increases the stiffness while still maintaining high strength, good corrosion resistance and fatigue resistance, and suitable ductility.
