Acrichin Dihydrochloride Description
Amodiaquine hydrochloride tablets are used for the treatment of acute febrile malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum. The drug is also effective in treating vivax and malaria infections. Amodiaquine is the only effective against Plasmodium erythrozoon, it not effective against asexual and tissue stages. To eliminate malaria parasites, a tissue schizont killer should be used. Amodiaquine can quickly control the fever and headache of the disease within 24-48 hours of taking the medicine.
Amodiaquine (ADQ) is a medication used to treat malaria, including Plasmodium falciparum malaria when uncomplicated. It is recommended to be given with artesunate to reduce the risk of resistance.
