2-Bromo-3,3,3-trifluoro-1-propene Description
2-Bromo-3,3,3-trifluoro-1-propene (CAS: 1514-82-5) is a kind of colorless liquid, which is a useful catalyst for C-C and C-N coupling reactions. 2-Bromo-3,3,3-trifluoropropene (BTP) is an excellent halon substitute. BTP is efficient in fire extinguishing, and the fire extinguishing concentration is 2.6 vol%. It is environmentally friendly and has a survival life of only 0.003 years in the atmosphere, and will not enter the ozone layer to cause damage to it. The atmospheric greenhouse effect (GWP) and ozone depletion value (ODP) are all zero. It features low toxicity: BTP has the highest non-toxic reaction. The concentration (NOAEL) is 0.5 vol%, and the lowest concentration of toxic reaction (LOAEL) is 1.0 vol%, which is equivalent to Halon 1211 and is less harmful to the personnel.
