Tungsten heavy alloys are tungsten-based composites with NiFe or Cu added for a ductile matrix. They have good machining properties, excellent radiation resistance, low expansion coefficient, high strength, and high modulus of elasticity. These alloys are ideal for military equipment, balance weights for submarines and vehicles, aircraft components, nuclear and medical shields, and fishing and sport tackles.

*Note: non-magnetic compositions (N) conforming to EF17, EF175 and EF18 shall have minimum properties of 94 KSI minimum ultimate tensile strength. Minimum elongation shall be 2 percent on EF17 and EF175, and 1 percent on EF18.
Stanford Advanced Materials (SAM) supplies a wide range of tungsten heavy alloys, including Tungsten Nickel Iron Alloy (W-Ni-Fe Alloy), Tungsten Nickel Copper Alloy (W-Ni-Cu Alloy), Tungsten Bucking Bar (W Bucking Bar), Tungsten Alloy Counterweight Parts, Tungsten Alloy Crankshaft Weight, Tungsten Penetrator (W Penetrator).
Stanford advanced materials (SAM) can provide various big-size tungsten heavy alloy parts by CIP, various small parts by mold pressing, extruding or MIM, various high-strength plates, bars, and shafts by forging, rolling, or hot extruding. Our products have high density and could be a reliable shielding material.
